Ranked by Guinness World Records as the world's largest jazz festival, the Montréal International Jazz Festival will span 10 days starting Friday 28 June, featuring 3,000 artists who will perform over 1,000 concerts, including 300 free shows.
"Our main goal is to maximize the quality of the experience for every festival goer," says André Ménard, artistic director for the festival. "Working with Solotech and Meyer Sound gives us a peace of mind in that respect. The combined expertise of their great teams never fails to make every stage of the festival sound great."
A longtime partner with Meyer Sound since 1992, Solotech has supplied Meyer Sound loudspeaker systems for entertainment and music icons that include Céline Dion, Michael Bublé, Leonard Cohen, Cirque du Soleil, and more. Solotech was the first company to invest in a LEO system, and currently holds over 2,000 Meyer Sound loudspeakers in its inventory.
This year, the 34th edition of the Montréal International Jazz Festival will present a dazzling array of musicians, including Wynton Marsalis, Wayne Shorter, Dr. John, Bill Frisell, Boz Scaggs, Buddy Guy, John Scofield, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Zakir Hussain, Lyle Lovett, Leon Russell, Joshua Redman, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Esperanza Spalding, John Abercrombie, Charles Lloyd, Ravi Coltrane, Rufus Wainwright, and Pink Martini.
