"Meyer Sound's technical support network is critical to our business," says Helen Meyer, executive vice president of Meyer Sound. "Luke, John, and Oscar have all played a major role in its success. We're proud to recognize their experience, technical knowledge, and personal commitment to customer satisfaction."
In his new position of product manager for loudspeaker products, Luke Jenks will work closely with Meyer Sound's engineering, education, and marketing personnel to provide both dealers and end users with expertise and resources on the operation and performance of new Meyer Sound loudspeakers. With Meyer Sound since 1989, Jenks was formerly director of European technical support. Transitioning to his new role, he recently managed the highly successful introductions of the JM-1P arrayable and MINA line array loudspeakers.
A member of Meyer Sound's technical support team for 13 years, John Monitto now assumes global responsibilities as director of technical support worldwide. Monitto will take direct responsibility for management of overseas technical support staff in addition to supervising support activities in the US.
Based in Mexico, Oscar Barrientos will assume overall responsibility for technical support, design services, and education throughout Latin America. Barrientos started his career with Meyer Sound in 2003 in Mexico City. Over the years, he has taken on increasing technical support responsibilities in addition to his primary role as a lead instructor for Meyer Sound's growing educational programme.
