Germany - MicW, the Beijing-based manufacturer of recording, live and conference audio microphones, is launching 11 new products at this week's Pro Light + Sound/Musikmesse in Frankfurt, ranging from handheld vocal mics to compact, desktop, shotgun and boundary models.

There are additions to MicW's E, N and G ranges - that is, respectively the company's entry-level, nickel-diaphragm, and gold-diaphragm mic ranges - including some repurposed versions of previously released mics, in new physical formats for different applications. For example, the new HN151 and BN151 are handheld and desktop versions of the existing 'bottle-shaped' N151 nickel-diaphragm wide cardioid, designed for vocal miking and acoustic guitar. The new desktop version, the BN151, is designed to be used in broadcast and conference audio applications, in courtrooms or for teleconferencing.

"After a strong first year's international trading, MicW is widening the focus of its three main ranges," comments MicW's Sales Director Qunli Wu. "Our aim is to have a microphone that's right for almost any recording application, at price points that are attractive to anyone interested in recording."
