UK / Turkey - Midas and Klark Teknik have announced the appointment of The Atempo Group as their exclusive distributor for Turkey. The experienced distribution specialist, with offices in Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya, has handled Electro-Voice and Dynacord for some years and is delighted to be taking on the Midas and Klark Teknik ranges.

"We view this as a highly significant appointment for Midas and Klark Teknik," commented Midas and KT's director of sales and marketing, David Cooper. "Atempo voluntarily terminated a long-standing distribution agreement with a major Japanese digital console manufacturer in order to be able to carry the Midas brand. They correctly understand that Midas will retain the profile and competitive advantages that we have achieved in the analogue console market with our forthcoming digital products."

Atempo's Okan Akbay says: "Midas has been very frank with us about their new digital console, and in my opinion, there is nothing else that will be able to compete with it. It is a product worth waiting for, and of course, in the meantime, Midas remains the top analogue console brand in the world."

He continued: "We also have Klark Teknik to consider, the masters of EQ and signal processing. In addition to the industry standard devices for which the company is renowned, KT has continued to raise the bar with the release of new digital product including DN9848 and Helix, which has made a significant impact on the market. However, the launch of the new DN370 next-generation analogue graphic EQ proves that Klark Teknik, like Midas, is not about to abandon its analogue roots; indeed, remains dedicated to improving standardsin this domain as well. Both brands have the advantage of internationalrecognition and unimpeachable reputations built over many decades, which they have been able to maintain because they both have an eye on the future and have been able to react to, and even anticipate market demand, resulting in the right product at the right time. All the evidence points to this continuing, and both brands remaining no. 1 in their respective fields for many years to come."
