Lourtie has been affiliated with Meyer Sound over the entire course of his career in sound reinforcement, starting in 1993, when he first worked for a Meyer Sound distributor in Europe, and then as a Meyer Sound certified SIM engineer. In 1997, Lourtie founded Lourisom, an audio consulting and distribution business in Portugal, which distributed Meyer Sound products in the country.
"Miguel's long relationship with Meyer Sound as both a contractor and a distributor has given him an intimate familiarity with the company's products and their use, and also with our philosophies and ways of supporting our customers," says Luke Jenks, Meyer Sound's director of European Technical Services. "He is an accomplished instructor, system designer, and system technician, and we are very happy to have him on our team."
