The Blakite speakers were designed by MilTec and are built in the UK. Most are loaded with British drivers. New additions to the range are a compact stage wedge, loaded with a 12" neodymium driver and concentric HF horn, together with a 6" trapezoidal speaker for installations and small conference work.
The success of the speakers has inspired the company to expand the UK manufacturing base to include amplifiers and LED Lighting products.
The new amplifiers will all be class-D and will feature on-board processing. The processor is compatible with MilTec's DNP26 and will run on MAC or Windows. Models will be available in two- and four- channel options.
The Mini-Map LED module is a miniature screen, just 155mm square, with 36 tricolour pixels. The product is designed to allow the operator to produce spectacular graphics and moving images (eye candy!) without the need for large screens. For maximum effect the modules can be spaced apart on a truss, frame or set and the eye fills in the gaps.
