Mojo Barriers was contracted to supply the 80m aluminium front of stage barrier for the whole Stadium Arcadium tour. They have been holding back crowds in front of the stages as the band played to sold out crowds across Europe in football stadiums, arena's and festival headline spots.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have grown in popularity throughout Europe over the past decade, and the release of their new album this summer fuelled fans passion to see the band performing the new numbers.
Amidst four nights performing at London's Earls Court Arena the band's tour production manager of six years, Bill Rahmy, said: "I don't think there's any one in the same league as Mojo Barriers. Their barriers are of a consistently high standard. We have had a qualified carpenter 'Big Daddy' Phil Danneman looking after the barriers at shows for two years. He is a craftsman and he appreciates the quality of the barriers and the fact that they are delivered to us ready to use, in a well maintained condition, which means they go together easily, are safe and they're easily transportable."
Rahmy went on to say: "It is surprising to me that there are no consistent standards across Europe, or even within countries regarding barrier design. When there are big crowds in front of the stage I like to see crowds partitioned, which we've done at a few venues on this tour. Here at Earls Court we have been asked to create a secondary barrier, so that there are around 3,000 in the front section and the remaining 6,000 on the floor behind that. To be honest the Chili Peppers audience are maturing with the band, so things aren't as hectic as they used to be, but on stadium sized shows I'd have split the audience with a secondary barrier."
After Europe the tour moves on to the United States, where Mojo Barriers US office (under the management of JB Dolphin) will continue with the provision of the stage barriers for the tour.
