Moonlight took the decision to purchase 12 CDR 208 S and 12 CDR 208 T mid/high cabinets having won the contract for BUGA 2005 in Munich. BUGA (Bundesgartenschau) is held throughout the entire summer, from late April to early October, and is a spectacular horticultural festival celebrating three gardening seasons in five months. Moonlight is responsible for providing all the sound equipment for the entire festival across five different locations throughout the summer, including COHEDRA and COHEDRA Compact at three of the stages. "We purchased COHEDRA as it is suitable for a great many different applications, which means we can use it for anything from conferences and general meetings through to large-scale open air events such as BUGA," says Moonlight's Markus Jaecklin. "It really does set new standards for its sound quality and easy handling."
The company's stock now totals more than 80 cabinets of COHEDRA and COHEDRA Compact, as well as the new ConTour cabinets, in addition to eight stacks of R-Series, and more than 70 VT cabinets from the T-Series, both from HK's Concert Sound range.
The three main stages at BUGA are the 18m x 18m Lake Stage, the 16m x 10m Arena stage and the Cultural Forum, where a variety of musical concerts, DJ appearances, theatrical performances and readings will take place across the summer. The Lake Stage features two arrays each consisting of four CDR 208 S and four CDR 208 T each, with four CDR 210 C Subs and two HK PR 8 amp racks. Additionally, four ConTour CT 112s are being used as near and side fill. The Arena and Cultural Forum both have two arrays of six COHEDRA Compact CDR108C mid/high cabinets, with four CDR 210 C Subs, two PR8 amp racks, two VT 108 near-fills and two VT 112 out-fills.
