"I've actually worked alongside Showforce in many capacities during my career, from fellow contractor to supplier and now as employer," said Smith. "It's a company I've always admired, particularly in terms of the wealth of talent within the team and the role they play in many major events, so I am greatly looking forward to 'joining the ranks' and continuing to build on their successes."
In addition to securing the ISO 9001 accreditation, Smith's immediate goals also include developing an in-house crew training programme to ensure standardisation of service across all regions.
"Ian has an exciting vision for Showforce's future and these short-term plans certainly present an excellent stepping stone for business development. With international recognition, the Showforce brand already has huge potential and I am confident that by ensuring consistently high levels of service, productivity and creativity, we can continue expanding this in new markets and countries. It's a diverse challenge but one I fully embrace," concluded Smith.
