Suitable for PA systems and background/foreground music systems, it has 90° x 60° constant directivity and with simple accessories it can be combined in clusters of two or more units to offer wide, smooth coverage and to reduce the installation points. IP65-rated, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, say RCF.
The MQ80P features high-excursion, PP coated paper cone woofer mounted in a tuned enclosure (the port can be sealed for full outdoor installation). The tweeter is a horn-loaded compression driver with phase plug, offering crisp, intelligible voice reproduction even in wide and noisy environments, say RCF. Installation of the MQ80P is quick utilising the unique bracket with has several fixing points and aiming facilities.
Connections are made by a multi-pole cable. Wattage taps and voltage adjustments together with 8-ohm operation are selectable by means of a Rotary switch, accessible under a sealed cover. The enclosure is constructed of high-density UV-resistant self-extinguishing polystyrene with a robust steel grille
.The MQ80P is available in white (MQ80P-W), black (MQ80P-B) or silver (MQ80P-S).Applications include mid- to large-size halls, warehouses, outdoor parking areas, railway stations, shopping centres where high quality high intelligibility speech and music reproduction is required.
Also announced by RCF is the new MQ90S subwoofer - the latest addition to RCF's Monitor Q series. The compact unit uses an 8" high-powered transducer, rated at 80W RMS, which is designed to achieve the maximum performance for its size.
Unlike traditional models that require all of the satellite speakers to be wired directly to the subwoofer, the MQ90S can be parallel wired anywhere along the constant voltage wire pair.Electrical connections are made to removable terminals that allows for easy daisy-chaining. A built-in 70/100V transformer provides selectable wattage taps. The enclosure is constructed of high-density MDF board with a scratch resistant finish.
