Ravenhill commented: "I am thoroughly looking forward to taking up the position of international product manager at the group head office in Denmark. Exciting times are ahead both for Martin and for the industry in general and I am keen to take all of the amazing results that Gerald has achieved on to the next level."
As an important part of Martin’s five-year strategy, extensive focus is being placed on education and training. The new position of international education manager will seek to keep current users up-to-date on the latest Martin products as well as serve as an educational resource for various facets of the lighting industry, including aspiring lighting professionals. "Training and education will be presented in a more entertaining fashion, more virtual, often using modern communication tools like E-Learning or WEB-TV," comments Heise. "Our goal is to help develop highly-skilled and highly motivated industry specialists."
As we reported last week, Philip Norfolk will be replacing Mark Ravenhill at the Martin UK office as the new stage and studio product sales manager. Norfolk comes from a position as national sales training manager at Tech Lighting in Chicago, USA. Prior to this he was with Lighting Technology in London, and has extensive experience in the lighting industry.
