Latest additions to the EVP family from Wharfedale.
Wharfedale Pro has extended the popular LiX high power series with the addition of the LiX-C215 bass enclosure. The C215 shares all the features of the other Lix-C Series products, which meet most portable and installation requirements. The LiX range is notable for its aluminium cast frame loudspeakers - with massive voice coils and extended excursion capability - while the design of handles and wheels into the cabinets makes LiX ideal road companions for semi-pro bands, cabaret and disco roadshow set-ups.

Highly effective heat dissipation mechanisms allow high sound pressure levels to be sustained over long periods with a minimum of power compression. Large magnet structures and tight construction tolerances give accuracy, high efficiency and reliability in demanding professional applications. The Wharfedale Pro-Tech driver protection system, integral to all LiX provides smooth and effective limiting and protection against both sustained high power overloads and high energy transients. With a 40Hz-20kHz frequency range, the trapezoidal C215 (rated at 500W continuous) offers up to four times the low frequency power output of a single 15" woofer. Thus its higher output - reaching a maximum SPL peak of 136dB - and extended bass response make it ideal for all MI and large portable disco applications.

Also new from Wharfedale, are powered versions of the multi-purpose EVP-S family. The EVP-P powered versions (the EVP-12P and EVP-15P) incorporate a 200W RMS/320W peak power amplifier as well as a built-in two-channel mixer with microphone inputs. The EVP-15PSB sub contains a 300W RMS/480W peak amplifier built into a compact portable enclosure. Featuring sophisticated protection at both the HF driver and amplifier stage the EVP-P series can be played at maximum levels over long periods without fear of system failure. Both mic and line inputs on the mixer feature independent level controls. The Hi/Low EQ control in the output section allows the user to set the system to provide the optimum balanced output. The EVP-P thus provides a simple-to-use, single package, easily-transportable sound reinforcement solution.

The WP-M 44mm (1.7") compression driver is at the core of an array of purpose-built parts and components which bring unprecedented levels of sound quality and performance to this product class (the model numbers are delineated by the 12" or 15" LF driver). High output capability and low distortion with excellent HF extension characterise this range of lightweight, yet rugged enclosures in which the trapezoidal shape allows more compact multiple arrays for higher output and better coverage.

Extra protection is offered by heavy duty steel grille and Road Tough industrial carpet, and internally by Wharfedale’s proprietary Pro-Tech system, a progressive dynamic limiter/protection system against driver overload. Sub bass extension is provided by the EVP-15PSB, in which an active crossover filters the full range signal, diverting signals above 120Hz back to the full range cabinets.
