USA - Christie Digital Systems, a leading provider of visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, has introduced the Christie Roadie 25K, the next generation of its purpose-built projection solution for large audiences and high-end users. Utilizing advanced three-chip DLP technology, the Christie Roadie 25K features 2K resolution, a 1500:1 contrast ratio that is among the highest on the market, and an unmatched level of brightness performance for Xenon-based projection systems, at 25,000 ANSI lumens.

The Christie Roadie 25K also features separate projection head and ballast, and an external extraction fan that provides more versatility and placement options. A self-aligning lamp, adjustable brightness levels and eight lens options enable the use of a single projector for a wide variety of solutions to better match a user's precise needs. The projector also features compatibility with virtually any source in use today, from VGA through QXGA and all current types of HDTV. In addition, all-new 10-bit digital processing delivers crisp, clean images with excellent colour saturation. It offers Picture-in-Picture, high-bandwidth signal processing, optional warping capability, superior edge-blending, and seamless switching.

Gary Fuller, director of sales and global product manager for rental/staging at Christie commented: "The Christie Roadie 25K represents a leap in projection technology for large audience presentations where demanding lighting conditions, razor-sharp images, and state-of-the-art multimedia is critical. It delivers a level of power, performance and versatility that creates a whole new projection category, yet, with all its sophistication, it is still one of the easiest, most intuitive projection systems to set up and use, as well as one of the most reliable. Existing graphical user interface enables full and easy control of the projector."

The Roadie 25K is also fully networkable. It can be connected to an RS-232, RS-422 or IP network, through which numerous units can be controlled, at distances reaching out to thousands of feet. Remote control and inventory management can be accomplished with ChristieNET.
