PALA India will be held from 5-7 October 2006 in Mumbai, the event is based on the successful model of the PALME exhibition in Dubai aimed specifically at the events, entertainment and installation technology sectors. The show will also see the introduction of the hugely popular Install brand into the Indian market - a dedicated vertical show aimed specifically at the commercial and residential installation and integration markets. The three day show will see the two exhibitions running concurrently, and will represent the country's first international event for the professional sound, light, audio-visual, music, broadcast, and project installation industries.
With bookings already confirmed from key international exhibitors, including Lighthouse Technologies, DAS Audio, Martin Audio, Soundtube Entertainment, and Vantage Point, as well as major national companies such as R&S Electronics, Sun Infonet Pvt Ltd, and Setron, it has become apparent that the original intended venue was unlikely to provide an adequate site for the first Indian event, and that the NSE Exhibition Complex was more suitably appointed.
Situated just 15 minutes drive from both the International and Domestic airports, the NSE is the one of the largest and most modern permanent exhibition venues in India's 'city of business'. It is within easy reach of over 20 hotels, including several five star properties. Commenting for IIR Exhibitions Entertainment & Installation Technology Group, group exhibitions director Darren Brechin says: "The NSE offers international class exhibition facilities in an ideal location, with superior transport links and sufficient local hotel capacity. This new venue will enable us to deliver a first-class event in line with the other events in the group's portfolio which includes annual exhibitions - PALME in Dubai, PALA Asia and the PALM Expo held in China".
