For its 2013 event West Evenement chose a new venue, the huge Le Liberte function hall in nearby Rennes, which has capacity for 5,300 people. The company had many new things to present, and wanted to choose the best venue to maximise the presentations. Eight demonstration areas were set up within the hall, and among new developments to be introduced here were sound systems and technology from Nexo.
Nexo's commercial director Jean Jacques Vias, together with concert sound specialist Val Gilbert, presented two workshops. One was devoted to the entire Nexo range, the other specifically focused on the NS-1 configuration and simulation tool, and the NeMo remote monitoring app for iPad and iPhone. These workshops were rounded off with presentations and demonstrations of the STM and GEO S12 systems, using the new generation of presets, including FIR filtering.
During the day, more than 120 people took part in different workshops in a spirit of true conviviality and exchange of ideas, creating an experience which will doubtless be repeated again. Rounding off the day's proceedings, around 300 people gathered in the hall for aperitifs, and clients and industry participants enjoyed a concert put on by West Evenement's specialist teams. As the company is able to provide all technical services, the concert was staged as a large-scale event, with sound reinforcement provided by the latest products from Yamaha and Nexo.
