Life in Color is a high-profile global event series, hosted in many different cities in the USA and Europe. Its stage show combines the best international DJs with acrobatics, circus acts, pyrotechnics and special effects. What started life as a college tradition has been transformed into a worldwide live spectacular, with audiences growing every year along with production values.
The event returned to Mexico City, to the indoor venue of Expo Bancomer Sante Fe, where 5000 people joined the festival atmosphere to see Dutch producer and DJ Nicky Romero headline with his fellow countrymen Vicetone. Considered a leading star of the EDM and progressive house genre, Nicky Romero recently appeared at the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium.
Tecnoson Espectaculos, and system designer Sergio Zenteno, framed the elaborate stage set with Nexo's STM Series modular line array. Twelve sets of STM M46 main + B112 bass cabinets, plus three M28 down-fills, were used either side of the stage. Beside these were flown side-fill arrays, each with six sets of M46 + B112 modules. STM S118 subs were ground-stacked below, and in front of the stage.
Mexico's busy live entertainment scene is well-served by Nexo STM systems, with several prominent rental houses carrying the modular line array inventory and regularly pooling resources to enable them to service the very largest events.
