With an award-winning interior by RAW Design, Mechu is a successful bar/restaurant/late lounge club. Arron Smith of TASC designed and installed an all-Nexo sound system, featuring six PS10 full-range cabinets and three LS500 sub bass units. Compact Nexo PS8 speakers and LS400 subs are located throughout the club, amounting to nearly 30 in total. "Nexo PS cabinets are one of my very favourite products," enthuses Arron Smith. "Sometimes it's a struggle to get a customer to spend more and move up to Nexo but, once they hear it, they wonder why they thought of using anything else."
The Nexo system is powered by Crown MT amplifiers, all equipment supplied by Fuzion plc. "I hadn't used Crown for a long time, but they work well with the PS cabinets - it's a good blend," says Arron. "The client is over the moon with the results. The clarity, quality and sonic performance of the system is just amazing. The great thing about PS speakers is that you can drive them hard, at silly levels, and they handle it easily. If I could install Nexo all day long, I'd be very happy!"
