Cook's role is to continue the huge success the Commercial Audio business has been enjoying since 2001 when Yamaha first introduced the PM1D, he will expand this success and spearhead Yamaha's longer term strategy to become a market leading systems solution provider. Cook is particularly well qualified to develop Yamaha's ' system' plans, say the company, since during his time at InnovaSon he extended the company's business from the traditional touring market into fixed installations delivering record turnover and renewed profitability. He has extensive operation, engineering and production knowledge of the Commercial Audio marketplace and has specialised in managing sales of complex audio solutions to a wide range of international customers.
Yamaha's sales and marketing director, Ricci Hodgson said: "We're delighted to welcome Nick on board. His background and skill set are an ideal match for this position. Nick will be working closely with myself, Karl Christmas - Commercial Audio marketing manager and the sales team and his experience will be pivotal in establishing Yamaha Commercial Audio as a complete systems solution provider for the UK market.
Cook added: "Now is a great time to be working with Yamaha. With a wide choice of professional products and the experience to deliver both small and large-scale audio systems, Yamaha is really well placed to provide the UK market with the audio solutions they need."
