Edwards began as a service technician for installation company Design Intervention in 2000. In 2002 he joined VLPS (PRG Lighting) at Greenford and went on to serve as a senior Vari-Lite technician working on site across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. His experience has included theatre, corporate events, television and concert touring, with highlights including the MTV Europe Awards, The Brits, The Baftas, Live Earth, The Royal Variety Performance and most recently the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow.
At Panalux, Edwards will be project managing a wide range of shows for the Broadcast & Event Division's growing portfolio of clients including studio-based and outside broadcast television, films, corporate and live events as well as theatre and concert touring. In addition to using his broad project management skills, Edwards will be relying on his technical experience to provide clients with all-round technical support including systems design, power generation, distribution and rigging as well as creative elements such as lighting design, CAD and WYSIWYG.
Edwards told L&SI: "I'm excited about the opportunity to join Ed Pagett and Simon Roose at Panalux's expanding Broadcast & Event Division. It's a new challenge for me after previously being predominately site-based. However, I feel technically and creatively this will be an advantage to myself and our customers."
