Turnbull has spent the past seven years at Stage Electric's Newcastle depot, where he was branch manager and was also responsible for sales. Prior to that, he carried out business to business sales for Telewest and Orange, after a three year stint in the Royal Marines.
In his new role at Northern Light, Turnbull will be responsible for expanding market share for the company's boxed goods and consumables division - Northern Light Direct. Based in Newcastle, he will initially cover the north east and north west of England, with a view to further expanding his territory in a southerly direction as he settles in to the post.
Turnbull comments, "I'm delighted to have joined the rapidly growing Northern Light Direct team and I'm looking forward to serving new and existing customers across the north of England. Seven years of experience of sales within the entertainment technology industry puts me in an ideal position to forge new relationships and build upon Northern Light's existing customer base."
Colin Cuthbert, managing director, commented, "Since we launched the division in April, Northern Light Direct has vastly increased the turnover of our boxed goods sales. With such demand for this service, there was a requirement to add another experienced sales professional to the team and Steve is a perfect match for our needs."
