Northern Light supplies dimming & control to Corby Cube development
UK - Northern Light is supplying and commissioning 72 ways of ETC Sensor dimming and a custom made house lighting control system to Northamptonshire's newest venue - the as yet unnamed theatre which will be housed within the £31 million Corby Cube development.

The Cube development - due to open in October - is a six storey, civic building which will form part of a new town square for Corby. The facilities include a 445 seat theatre, arts and studio spaces, a library, a bistro, council offices and chamber and a terraced roof garden.

Northern Light were approached by main contractor Mitie to provide dimming and control for the theatre's house lighting system.

Mike Percy, Northern Light's project engineer, says, "We've designed a bespoke control rack which features equipment from suppliers such as Pulsar and Global Design Solutions for operation of the theatre house light and work light systems. We will be on site during May to install and commission this control system and the 72 ways of dimming."

Colin Cuthbert, managing director of Northern Light, adds: "Corby has many links with Scotland - in fact, the Corby accent has been likened to the Glasgwegian twang - and it's great for a Scottish company such as Northern Light to be involved in bringing such a prestigious project to fruition. Whilst we continually operate throughout the UK - and beyond - this project has a special meaning for us because of that Scottish connection."
