UK - Northern Light has teamed up with key industry suppliers and manufacturers to showcase a range of audio and lighting products during the Edinburgh Festivals.

Running over two days - 19 and 20 August - the events will take place in Edinburgh University's Old College Quad, which lies in the heart of the city centre. Demonstrations of equipment from a host of industry suppliers will run on both days between 3 and 6pm.

Barclay Dakers, head of retail at Northern Light, said: "We've been working with festival productions in Edinburgh since the company was set up almost forty years ago and we're well aware of how busy everyone is. Nonetheless, we felt we could provide some value for industry professionals by offering product showcases on dates where most people are mid-run. We've also tried to choose a time of day where people will be free or between shows."

Products to be included in the demonstrations include Soundcraft, K-Array, Martin Audio, Shure, Avolites, Zero 88, Selecon, PR Lighting, Clay Paky and GDS.

The Northern Light team and representatives from suppliers will be on hand to demo the kit, answer questions and provide some good, old fashioned, Scottish hospitality.

Colin Cuthbert, managing director of Northern Light, said: "It has always been our practice to maximise the excellent relationships we have with manufacturers and suppliers in ways that benefit our customers. Showcasing products while so many technical theatre practitioners are in our city seemed an obvious way to offer that little bit more. We're also looking forward to the social side of the events."

Northern Light will also be opening its doors on Saturdays between 10 am and 2 pm for the month of August to ensure ease of access for customers.
