Northern Stage Services Ltd, whose client list includes the RIBA award-winning Liverpool Everyman Theatre, Brio Leisure and Manchester Communications Academy, acquired the business on 16 February 2015, enhancing its overall offering to be UK-wide spanning the theatrical, architectural and construction sectors.
Northern Stage Services Ltd managing director, Patrick Colin, comments: "Lancelyn has a long history in both Oxford and The Wirral and its customers very much value the service given by its skilled design, manufacturing and installation teams.

Together we have an incredibly strong offering in the marketplace that very few companies in the UK will be able to match encompassing design, installation, sales and hire of specialist systems across the industry."
Northern Stage Services Ltd has built its reputation for technical expertise and creative flair over 35 years in the industry, creating technical systems that add impact, whilst meeting the exacting requirements of its customers. Set up in 1980, the company presently employs 25 people at its base in Shaw, Greater Manchester. Oxford-based Lancelyn Lighting and Lancelyn Theatre Supplies, which also has a base in Wirral, was set up in 1970 and employs around 24 people.

A new company name will be announced in the coming weeks, and it is expected the new venture will continue to operate out of all three Northern Stage Services Ltd and Lancelyn Lighting and Lancelyn Theatre Supplies sites.
