The team of seven walkers and two drivers signed up for the challenge in April and put themselves through an Olympian like training regime in an attempt to improve their fitness levels, they even cut back on the 'chip shop' lunches.
The walkers set off from the nStage office in Shaw and took the long drive up to Fort William to commence the mammoth challenge at 5pm on 18 September. They suffered injuries, sickness and even got lost but with help from the support team and some enthusiastic driving they completed the challenge in 23 hours and 20 minutes, reaching the foot of Mount Snowdon at 16.20pm the following day.
Every member of the team found the challenge difficult but they were spurred on by the support of each other and by the people who were kind enough to sponsor them and pledge a donation to Cancer Research UK.
There is still time to sponsor the nStage team and to support Cancer Research UK by visiting www.justgiving.com/nstage to pledge donations.
