The new venue's interior design is now made up of eight zones that require different speaker types to suit each zones acoustic condition. The JBL Contractor speaker series was selected as the preferred speaker solution to suit the various interior design aspects and operational requirements of the now larger venue.
AVents Solutions designed, supplied and installed a comprehensive audio-visual system dominated by JBL speakers powered by Crown brand power amplifiers. For audio processing they selected a BSS London BLU-100 12x8 DSP and BSS BLU-BOB2 to expand outputs by an additional eight channels to build a 12x16 audio processor solution using two BSS BLU-8V2 local remote controls at bar locations for easy access.
"We specified JBL Control 29AV 300w speakers to cover the outside Terrace, while at the bar entry we used the smaller, less powerful JBL Control 25AV 200w speakers," commented Greg Cartagena, owner of AVent Solutions. "In the centre bar we required in-ceiling speakers so we chose the JBL Control 24CT model and JBL Control 19CS in-ceiling subs. For the toilet zones we selected JBL C24CTM 8w speakers to continue the local zone audio program as atmosphere.
"As you move further into the rear venue we again selected to install eight JBL C29AV 300w speakers for room fill mounted on U brackets in horizontal throw angle positions. There is a raised area in a far back room corner where a DJ station and band stage is located where we added a small-sized "front of house" speaker combination consisting of two higher powered JBL AM5212 /95 400w speakers installed off custom ceiling mount U brackets and JBL SRX 718s sub cabinet for a power boost in sound impact for late night trading entertainment use."
The JBL contractor series speakers are powered by a range of Crown power amplifier series such as XTI, CDI and XLS power amplifiers that included the following models XTI6002, XTI4002, XTI2000, XLS1500, CDI1000 and Crown180A.
AVent Solutions also supplied three Jands JLX- Lite lighting bars to the stage area. AVent's project audio engineer / programmer was David Gilfillan.
