Hisham Al Shirawi, executive director of Oasis Enterprises, who received the Award from digitalstudio on behalf of his company.
UAE - Oasis Enterprises, provider of turnkey project services for professional and broadcast audio, video and lighting systems in the UAE, has been honoured with a prestigious award during CabSat 2005, the Middle East's electronic media and communications event.

Designed to recognize exceptional quality and service levels in key areas in the Middle East's broadcast industry, the digitalstudio Industry Leadership Awards 2005 ensured complete impartiality through nominations and consultation with a panel of experts. Oasis Enterprises won Lighting Installation of the Year for its work on behalf of broadcasters such as Dubai TV, Abu Dhabi TV, Al Jazeera in Qatar and CNBC Arabia.

Suhail Ahmed has known Oasis Enterprises for four years, firstly during his time at Dubai TV and now at CNBC Arabia, where he is lighting director. "Oasis Enterprises installed the lighting grid and provided the lighting set up for CNBC Arabia," said Mr Ahmed, "and they have always given us their full support in all our requirements. I am delighted that their work has been rewarded in this way."

Hasan R. Sayed Hasan, technical and operations director at Al-Rai TV in Kuwait, praised Oasis for being very innovative in their lighting solution for Al-Rai's 180sq m news studio in September last year. "They were also extremely cooperative during the installation phase. When it became clear we would need to use the studio earlier than planned, they worked harder than ever to ensure a smooth hand-over before the agreed date," said Mr Hasan.

As the region's distributor for leading international manufacturers such as DeSisti, ETC, JVC, Link and Roscolab, Oasis was delighted with the accolade, which is testimony to the company's standing in the Middle East. David Gray, ETC's field project manager, who most recently worked with Oasis on Dubai TV's new News Studio, said: "This Award could not be more deserved, the investment that Oasis Enterprises has made in people, in training, in local knowledge and in building relationships, both with its customers and its suppliers, makes it a pleasure to do business with them. I am delighted for them."
