USA - The OCA Alliance, champion of the AES70 standard for Open Control Architecture, has announced several new AES70-enabled products ahead of the 2024 edition of InfoComm in Las Vegas this month.
Equipment from d&b audiotechnik and Adamson Systems Engineering swells the ecosystem of AES70-enabled products, continuing the adoption of standards-based flexible, unified control.
Specifically, d&b has incorporated AES70 support into their 5D, 40D, D40 and D90 amplifiers as well as their DS100M network-driven Milan-enabled processing platform for Soundscape, while Adamson has launched VGt, a peak performance large-format line array loudspeaker, the first member of the new Vergence Group. VGt is a self-powered unit that includes an intelligent networked DSP endpoint supporting Milan digital audio and AES70 control data. Adamson and d&b will both be exhibiting at InfoComm on stands #C9547 and #C9421 respectively. Additionally, d&b has a demo room at #N103.
“Interoperability and system integration based on open standards such as AES70/OCA are important prerequisites for d&b to maintain and further develop the future system infrastructure and communication control and monitoring within the proven d&b workflow, hardware and software tools,” says Wolfgang Schultz, d&b’s head of product management electronics & software.
Ethan Wetzell, platform strategist, Bosch Communications systems and marketing chair for The OCA Alliance adds, “AES70-2024 provides several missing pieces for media networking solutions and elegantly solves a number of challenges in the system control domain.”
In addition to d&b and Adamson, a number of other OCA Alliance members will be present at the show – Bosch, Dynacord, Electro-Voice, and RTS can be found on booth #C8901 and FBT Elettronica S.p.A are just a couple of aisles away on away on booth #C9335. Furthermore, OCA specialist Matt Hardy from Deuso will be in attendance.
