Music acts performed in the Aintree International Equestrian Centre throughout the three days of the Festival. The line-up included local legends, The Christians on the Grand Opening Day, followed by X Factor and I'm A Celebrity star Jake Quickenden on Ladies' Day and The Stars from the Commitments on the day of the Grand National itself.
With many of the race goers staying on to enjoy the entertainment, it was vital that OneBigStar delivered the highest standards of production at this hugely popular event. They brought along a full festival stage, complete with sound and lighting package including the latest addition to their kit list, an Electro-Voice XLC line array, which sounded spectacular.
In addition, OneBigStar also built a covered outdoor stage, utilising their mini-stage structure, PA and lighting in the Steeplechase enclosure; full DJ set-up and risers for BBC Radio 2's Sara Cox to perform to a crowd of over 3,000 in the Red Rum Garden on Grand Opening Day, sound equipment for the Moet bar located in the Band Stand, and small sound systems for the Golden Miller, Sunloch, Papillon and Early Mist restaurants.
Accept Management's directors Harriet Robson and Tom Wright said, "The entertainment and production requirements for the Crabbie's Grand National vary from intimate set ups in hospitality through to small stages on the Steeplechase Embankment and at the Moet & Chandon bandstand, right up to full concert production in the International Aintree Equestrian Centre so we knew we needed a supplier who would be equally happy in all these arenas.
"OneBigStar's experience meant they were absolutely the right choice for this event and we're delighted with the service they provided throughout the planning period and on site."
OneBigStar's production director Steve Yeardsley commented, "The Grand National is the most famous horse race in the world, it was fantastic to supply services to the event for the first time. We worked closely with Accept Management to ensure that all aspects of the technical production were taken care of, whether that was a small sound system in a restaurant, to a full stage, sound and lighting package in the International Aintree Equestrian Centre."
As part of OneBigStar and Accept Management's ongoing relationship they will return to Aintree Racecourse for Summer Nights Sounds of the 80s on 15t May.
