SFX offers a contemporary alternative to traditional playback equipment. It boasts automated facilities that increase control, enhance operations and maximize creative potential. It enables the creation of a rich landscape of sound, thus making shows and installations more interactive and realistic. It promotes cohesive sound design, whilst simplifying FX operation.
Developed from the ground up by a team of theatre specialists, it gives total control over sound and playback. Based around its Cue List and GO Button, it operates intuitively just as sound designers and operators would want and expect it to work.
SFX has already been deployed with great success on numerous West End productions, including Murderous Instincts at the Savoy Theatre, Tennessee William's Suddenly Last Summer starring Diana Rigg and Victoria Hamilton at the Albery Theatre, and most recently, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express.
Orbital's head of sales Tom Byrne commented: "Orbital are proud to have been appointed a dealer of SFX. It broadens our product sales portfolio, enabling us to offer a contemporary alternative to traditional playback equipment. It encourages creativity, whilst simplifying operation and improving theatre sound quality."
