Latin America - Outline, the Italian manufacturer of professional loudspeaker systems, has announced an agreement with Studio Sound International to represent its brand in Latin America (with the exclusion of Brazil and Puerto Rico).

With over 30 years' experience, SSI is one of only a handful of companies representing professional music products on the Latin-American marketplace. The company is led by Chris Adams, native South-American and life-long music professional with decades of experience in the pro audio marketplace.

With the recent addition of Outline loudspeakers, SSI's roster consists of 19 leading brands covering the pro audio, live sound, MI and accessories markets and providing a complete solution to distribution partners in Latin-America. SSI's US office is located in Orange County, California. The Latin-American office is in Montevideo, Uruguay.

"SSI provides manufacturers a turnkey solution for growth and success in this very specialised region," says Chris Adams. "I'd like to emphasise that we are a representation company, not a distributor. In fact, our aim is to select the best distribution partners in each country to work with and support with our product specialist Mr. José Luis Izábal; with this quite traditional set-up, we expect local distributors to have their own team marketing in their countries, while we support them with information, demos, etc. On another note, we will also stage a sales drive with rental companies, via mailings to attract their interest, as they like to be contacted directly by manufacturers. We will thus be able to satisfy them with specific deals, while having the local distributor there for support and service.

"While many people prefer to sell inexpensive low quality products, we prefer the best most technologically advanced products. That is why we are very excited to work with Outline, as we feel it's the next big name for Latin-America in line array systems and we intend establishing the brand and company name."

Outline CEO Giorgio Biffi says: "In spite of the global financial crisis that has afflicted all the markets in recent years, Outline has grown significantly, in terms of nations represented, product range and - obviously - turnover. This increase in demand has obliged us to reorganize our manufacturing and logistic set-up, which has enabled us to handle the process of expansion efficiently without being literally overwhelmed by it.

"Now, after boosting our already large R&D department and added resources to our production line, we are ready to face new markets and the stimulating new challenges that this means. We are therefore particularly excited to forge a new partnership with such a well-respected company in one of the world's most interesting markets."
