In the short period since it opened, it is able to boast high profile installations and live events (Clear Channel Theater, New York, the Healing Place Church cathedral in Louisiana, Imperial Palace Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, and the New Orleans Jazz Festival.
Giorgio Biffi, Outline's international sales and marketing director, comments: "I've known Tom Bensen for quite a long time and have been impressed by his career and the way he has always been very successful in introducing high class brands on to the US market. Before we set up our relationship with Tom, I had individually met a number of people in the US pro audio market who have a great and deep respect for him. His successful venture with Powersoft was further proof of his skill and experience, so we are absolutely convinced that he is the perfect professional person to represent our quality products."
Thomas Bensen adds: "I'm proud to be part of the Outline family. This is a company that has vision - it has tremendous eye towards the future - they have a tremendous resource in their R&D and I see nothing but amazing things happening for Outline.
"The future of pro audio belongs to the companies that have really learned to embrace volumetric efficiency and low impact I think that Outline is to loudspeakers what Powersoft is to amplifiers. Take the new Mantas vertical line array for example. The thing weighs little more that 50lbs with all of its hardware; it's extremely high output, extremely lightweight, easy to deploy. We are trying to save on energy, we are trying to save on trucking, we are trying to save money. The response in America has been really one of great anticipation waiting for this product line to really develop and come in."
Outline North America will be at InfoComm in Orlando this month with a series of new products including the Mantas VLA and the LAB 21 (infra-sub), as well as the compact enclosures of the DVS (8-10) range, in self-powered versions.
