The reputation of these compact loudspeaker systems, say Outline, is based on their ability to reproduce the human voice in a focussed manner, with natural timbre and high intelligibility - even at high volume, and without feedback, say Outline.
For the area of the studio hosting VIPs, eight Outline H.A.R.D. 212 stage monitors with the company's unique (patent pending) "acoustic architecture" were used: these continue to make a name for themselves in high profile events (including the recent Live 8) thanks to their powerful feedback-free SPL figures, which the manufacturer claims are even higher than much heavier larger monitors. In fact, H.A.R.D. 212 systems weigh just 25kg, even although they're fitted with two 12" woofers and a 3" compression driver loaded with Outline's proprietary S.P.R.W.G. (Single Parabolic Reflective Wave Guide).
In addition to the Micra and H.A.R.D. enclosures, the main sound reinforcement in the Rockpolitik studio used Butterfly Vertical Line Arrays: 22 CDH 483 hi-pack systems were flown to ensure long-throw wide dispersion coverage of the entire audience in the large television studio, say Outline. The Outline systems for Rockpolitik were provided and supported audio technicians from one of Italy's best known rental firms: Agorà.
