Globe-Source from Outline.
Italy / UK - Outline will be showing its innovative 'Globe-Source', an omnidirectional loudspeaker whose characteristics represent the state of the art in the field of sound sources for professional acoustical use in the architectural field, according to Outline. Globe-Source has been nominated for a PLASA Award for Innovation.

Outline will also show the Micra II SP - an ultra-compact, self-powered loudspeaker enclosure that has achieved a strong reputation for its use in TV studios and on some of Italy's top tours (including Claudio Baglioni). It has a built-in (250W continuous power) digital amplifier and is fitted with two sophisticated 5" woofers and twin Neodymium magnetic circuit.

Also on show, the H.A.R.D. 212 SP is a self-powered version of the ultra-slim (33cm) monitor, used on tour by Eric Clapton, Steve Howe (Yes), Hayley Westenra and by top Italian artists including Claudio Baglioni, Francesco De Gregori, Max Pezzali, Giorgia, Carmen Consoli, Paola Turci and Sabina Guzzanti. It's equipped with the same components (2 x 12", 1 x 3") and its lines are identical to the passive version, but it has a built-in DSP and two digital amplifiers, offering 2000W into 4 ohms to the LF section and 160W into 16 ohms to the HF section (continuous power values). The H.A.R.D. 212 SP unit's SPL reaches 134dB (continuous) at 1m (140dB peak), and it weights just 26.5 kilograms.

Finally, the H.A.R.D. 115 SP is another self-powered model, with a 15" woofer and a compression driver with a 2.56" diaphragm, loaded by the same parabola-shaped acoustic reflector (patent pending) used on the H.A.R.D. 212. The profile of the H.A.R.D. 115 SP is ultra-slim (39cm), despite the components being vertically aligned. This layout ensures symmetric horizontal dispersion, a fundamental feature for monitors, enabling artists to hear the same sound balance in any position on stage. It's a two-way enclosure with passive crossover and a high-powered single-channel amplifier (1000W on 8 ohms, continuous power value). H.A.R.D. 115 SP ensures performance comparable to the top of the range - just 4dB SPL less than the H.A.R.D. 212 SP: it also has the same sound quality, wide vertical and narrow horizontal dispersion, as well as the range's proverbial resistance to feedback.

Outline can be found on stand N80.
