Commenting for IIR, group exhibition director Darren Brechin states: "The merger of IPALS and PALA Asia is great news for the region and for the industry, providing for one definitive professional audio, lighting and entertainment technology exhibition. This is something that will greatly benefit the regional market and overseas exhibitors, providing a bigger, better show in a bigger, better location.
"The move to Singapore's Sing Expo locates the show at the commercial heart of South East Asia, and provides us with world-class facilities and the means to grow PALA Asia year on year, and provide the region with an exhibition of major international standing."
Director of Unusual Productions, Jonny Ong states: "Merging the two shows to provide one larger more successful event makes good business sense. Unusual has enjoyed very good relations with IIR in the region for more than ten years, and we are confident that moving forward together we are able to present the sound and lighting industries in South East Asia with even greater opportunities to improve their business, and for international companies to trade in the region."
The purpose-built Sing Expo halls provide exhibition space all on ground level, along with extensive modern conference facilities, and numerous bars and restaurants. Extensive parking space is available, and a direct rail link from the city and major highways make Sing Expo highly accessible. PALA Asia is the event in South East Asia for professional audio and lighting, incorporating music and broadcast, and Install Asia, a specific exhibition for the AV installation and systems integration market. Install was launched in the Middle East three years ago and is now a successful feature of all of IIR's professional lighting and sound exhibitions. In 2007, IIR will introduce Event 360 to PALA Asia, a further successful dedicated market event, providing a platform for manufacturers and suppliers for solutions and services for the event and event management industries to exhibit and meet key industry players in the region.
