India - PALM Expo, India's most established exhibition and conference on pro audio, lighting and musical instruments is scheduled for 2 - 4 June, 2011 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai, India. This June, the Expo will celebrate 11 successful years in operation.

With 15,000sq.m spread across two halls, the PALM Expo 2011 has increased 20% since its last successful staging in 2010.

"A 50% increase in exhibitors showcasing over 400 international and local brands will keep the show floor buzzing with action on all the three days. The 2011 Expo will not only see international product and brand launches, but also product clinics, workshops and an extensive three day Seminar and Conference programme. The Harman sponsored Performance Arena, an open-air line array demo area, an Indian Acoustic Musical Instruments Village, the Integrate Expo Kramer Technical Class and many such related features which make PALM Expo 2011 a must-visit for one and all," say organisers.

The music industry's Musician Expo and India's only technology fair for the AV/ IT systems integration industry, Integrate Expo will be held in conjunction with PALM Expo. Integrate Expo will add colour to PALM with a dedicated ProAV segment coming alive with the latest in LED/LCD Video Walls, Large Format Displays, Digital Signages, Projection, Video Conferencing, Office Automation, Distribution, Networking and Control Systems.

A highlight of the PALM Expo is set to be the Performance Arena geared by Harman. Harman - which shares a close association with PALM Expo / Musician Expo - will equip a live stage with state-of-the-art products from its array of leading pro audio brands like AKG, BSS, Crown, JBL, Crown, Soundcraft, Lexicon, and dbx, whilst international artists and local bands will treat visitors to live performances. The Performance Arena will also host live acts by reputed musicians such as Gino Banks, Silman Marak, , Ranjit Barot, Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendonsa, to name a few.

The Expo will host a series of live events for the DJ community in the form of competitions and workshops. The Battle of the DJs is a debut initiative by PALM Expo to provide a platform to DJs to showcase their recording and mixing talent and thus gain better recognition.

Contestants will compete at the Performance Arena set up at the show floor of PALM Expo on the first day of the Expo. The contenders will be provided with two Pioneer CDJ1000MK3 CD Players, two Technics SL1200/10MK2 Turntables, one Pioneer DJM 800 Mixer and one Microphone to play at least three tracks within the allotted time. PALM Expo will also host conference and seminar sessions for "the discerning pro audio knowledge seekers".

Another major highlight of the Integrate Expo, co-located with PALM Expo, is the Integrate Expo Kramer Technical Class - to be held from 31st May to 2nd June conducted by world-renowned trainer Ranjit Singh, CTS-D,CTS-I,THX (Tech II), a veteran in the field of AV for the last 15 years.

Integrate Expo will host a series of conference sessions and. "The Technical Class is a positive step towards disseminating valuable information to the professionals involved in the systems integration industry," says organisers.

The show floor will showcase a large number of products from live sound, MI, DJ and stage gear to LED lighting, video screens, laser technology and much more. Organisers add: "The PALM Expo represents the strength of the market with key players investing wisely and planning exhibits of the latest products and technology launched. It is seen and experienced by the loyal exhibitors participating since 2001 that the entire trade is present to network and do business during the three action-packed days."
