The open-plan kitchen creates an inviting buzz for indoor dining while the large terrace with booth and banquet seating makes for an enjoyable alfresco dining experience overlooking Parramatta Stadium and Parramatta Park.
The design talents of Paul Kelly of Paul Kelly Design were employed to create many spaces with several connections making it feel as one. This required a formula for "consistency" of sound quality, yet individual area control.
With five different areas, most having a connection with an adjoining space, it was important to think of the flow of sound.
The JBL-Control25AV was selected for its ability to produce good low level and even response, while still able to cater for higher levels when required. By using this versatile loudspeaker model throughout the venue, the sound quality becomes seamless for the customer when walking from the bar, to dining, and lounge. With outdoor ratings, the Control 25AV is also deployed for the alfresco areas.
By reinforcing the low frequency in critical areas with the JBL-ASB6112 12" compact subwoofer, the system can deal with medium level DJ input. Crown XLS-2000 Dual, XTI-2000 and XTI-4000 amplifiers power the speakers.
All five zones are under the care of the BSS BLU100 audio DSP system, providing 12 inputs, and eight outputs, with preprogrammed EQ, limiting, and remote functionality. A simple source selection and volume system is incorporated, so only basic controls may be adjusted by bar staff. Saltec Pty supplied and installed the audio requirements.
