Peak Audio's Martin During explained that while he already owned a number of Midas boards, he nevertheless had his engineers trial several different consoles from a variety of manufacturers before making his choice. "It basically came down to the fact that competitive desks simply couldn't match Midas in terms of headroom or sound quality, nor indeed features and outputs in relation to the price, so I'm delighted to say that as a result we're now adding two more purple desks to our inventory!"
MCH's Peter Haaima commented: "We may joke about the colour, but it means that Midas consoles are instantly recognizable all over the world, and as a rule it puts an engineer at ease straight away just knowing that he's working on a Midas. In terms of Verona sales, they are going like hot cakes for us. Everyone is impressed at the number of outputs Midas has managed to squeeze into such a small footprint at such an attractive price point, yet with no compromise on the signature Midas sound quality, and Martin is no exception. He was also very impressed with the Legend 3000 which he chose for its ability to cater for both FoH and monitor requirements."
