Eric Lund began working with Peavey in the early 1980s.
UK - Eric Lund, who recently racked up no less than 31 years with the MI and Pro Audio brand, has announced that he will be retiring at the end of May. Lund, who started with the company in the early 80s (when it was based in East Sussex) has been instrumental in the company's growth from being the UK arm of the Peavey Corporation to one now distributing to the entire EMEA region. These include a number of direct European markets distributed to from the Corby sales and warehouse facility.

Lund who started working for the company as the northern sales rep, quickly expanded his role helping the company focus on sound reinforcement and retail training; a strategy of industry education that the company spearheaded within the sector. It was Lund's passion for helping the retail sector grow that made him such a respected and recognised character in the industry and ensured his career progression seeing him head up UK accounts, and subsequently, the direct European and distributor markets.

Lund comments that "the past 31 years have provided me with a fantastic array of experiences and it has been an honour to work for a company that has passion and integrity at its heart. I look forward to continuing my relationship with the company and its people but also look forward to enjoying some of the finer things retirement should have to offer".

"Eric has become both a valued friend and extremely trusted colleague, during the relatively short 11 years, which I have had the honour to work with him at the company", commented Clive Roberts, managing director of Peavey Europe & International. "I will never forget my very first experiences of seeing Eric presenting to a room full of our retailers. I remember watching the passion that he exhibited, seemingly symbiotically transferred to so many of the people in attendance. His inimitable earnest Yorkshire wit made him such an easy character for us all to relate to. I'm not so sure my mother would have agreed though - his blue humour is legendary but well placed, most of the time!"

Eric Lund will still remain a regular sight and great friend at the company, continuing to consult in the areas of dealer and distributor training.
