Rackz will continue to operate exactly as is in its current set up, with Roberts at the helm and all staff staying onboard. They will service their own clients in addition to expanding Penn's current range of racking products and working on a host of new Penn racking-based projects.
Penn-Elcom has expanded its business steadily and specifically over the last two years, strengthening and consolidating its already robust activities in flightcase components and pro-audio peripherals.
Rackz and Penn Elcom have been working together already on selected projects for the last five years, during which time they have enjoyed "a great synergy and exchange of ideas".
Says Penn-Elcom chairman Roger Willems, "It's a nice fit. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with Dave, and are really lucky to have someone of his calibre and track record. He is known for his lateral solutions and often different approach - And that's exactly what we need. There are already a number of exciting projects in the pipeline to which Rackz' input will be instrumental." The first of these, a range of wooden racks, will be launched in January.
Dave Roberts comments, "It's absolutely the right move at the right time as far as Rackz is concerned. Working under Penn Elcom's umbrella will enable us to develop and expand many cutting-edge ideas, resulting in new, innovative and relevant products reaching the market."
