Richard Mead, managing director of Pharos Architectural Controls, said: "The response at Lightfair from designers and installers alike was tremendous. The Pharos LPC bridges the gap between entertainment and architectural lighting in a way that proves attractive to users in retail, themed or architectural environments. Pharos LPC is a solid-state, fit-and-forget solution for control of colour mixing fixtures, conventional dimmable fixtures and ballasts, and automated moving lights using either DMX or DALI protocols. The unit has the powerful features of an entertainment lighting console but in a compact DIN rail mounting package ideal for permanent installations."
Programming is created on any Windows or Mac PC using the freely available Pharos Designer software and then downloaded to the installed units via Ethernet or USB. The intuitive timeline-based software incorporates pixel mapping functionality to allow LED arrays to display video clips. It also has full support for automated lights and shows can be simulated offline for presentations to clients or off-site programming.
Pharos Architectural Controls is working with distributor TMB Associates to establish a worldwide network of dealers and representatives. The Pharos LPC will be officially launched in June.
