After eight years working as a sound engineer, Blue decided to cross the threshold from audio to lighting: "I was keen to expand my horizons and to experience all aspects of the production industry rather than just stick to one area or department," he says.
He also admits that he actually undertook plenty of lighting operation whilst working as a house sound engineer in clubs and venues and discovered that he "really enjoys it".
Blue joins lighting designer Dave Parry who also recently joined the Avolites technical sales team in a drive by the company to recruit respected industry individuals with real "hands-on" knowledge of the products and their application.
Blue says: "I am really excited to be part of Avolites. It's one of the brands I have always respected, along with the people who've made the company into such an ongoing success".
