The Selecon sales team reports positive at Frankfurt ProLight+ Sound 2012
UK - The team at Philips Selecon will be showing its latest developments in entertainment LED lighting technology at industry trade event, PLASA Focus Leeds.

Following the success of the PL1 LED spot and PL3 LED wash lights in the TV and theatre markets, the Selecon sales team reports equally positive feedback from dealers and end users to its newly launched LED products - the Studio Panel and PLCyc - at Frankfurt ProLight+ Sound 2012.

"Both luminaires generated extremely encouraging responses from our visiting dealers and end users in Frankfurt," says Grant Bales Smith, sales manager UK, Scandinavia & Benelux. "We expect both to be shipping by the end of April 2012."

The Studio Panel is an LED soft light featuring: variable colour temperature from 2700K up to 6000K using a mixture of amber and white LEDs. Drawing just 60W of power at any voltage the Studio Panel can be powered via a four pin XLR direct from the TV camera or via a powercon connector direct from the mains.

The Philips Selecon PLCyc LED builds on the technology of PL1 spot and PL3 wash luminaires and uses a mixing chamber designed to homogenize the RGBW colours. The front of the mixing chamber has a holograph diffuser to complete beam homogenisation and, with an added elliptical reflector system, the unit creates an asymmetric beam and distribution.

"We're looking forward to showing these and our existing range of efficient and robust Selecon luminaires, LED and Tungsten, at PLASA Focus in Leeds," says Bales Smith. "We had an amazing show last year and there was an excellent turn out of industry professionals. We expect to see the same again this year and look forward to demo'ing all our products so please do drop by."
