The airy showrooms of Phillip's new premises provide an exclusive exhibition area
UK - When contemporary art specialist, Phillips, recently relocated to their new headquarters in Mayfair's Berkley Square, London, award winning architect Aukett Swanke specified the premium Sonab wireless sound system to compliment and work with the moveable walls and ceilings in the art gallery.

Phillip's auction house is one of the foremost specialists in modern culture and art in the world today. The airy showrooms of Phillip's new premises provide an exclusive exhibition area that is fitted to the very highest standard with the most up to date lighting and sound systems.

SSE Audio Group Limited used the lighting tracks fitted by creative lighting specialist Studio ZNA to mount a Sonab System 9 for wireless sound. The newly installed sound system covers two floors of the building including gallery, auction space, VIP skyboxes, reception and conference rooms. The project target was to achieve a flexible, unobtrusive sound system with adjustable zone volumes; all compatible with a UK listed building.

Gallery manager, Ian Bell, said, "The Sonab speakers were used across two floors with large galleries and perfectly integrated with the in house system hassle free. They provided excellent quality sound for both music and speech."

The Sonab 9 sound system provides flexibility in speaker placement and ease of changing speaker location, both of which were critical to a design that featured walls and ceilings that were moveable. The system delivers quality sound for both music and speech, which is easy to install and quick to reconfigure at minimal cost as the exhibition space changes.

The wireless sound system is able to play music from any source with no time delay. Developed for ever-changing interior designs, the Sonab System 9 can have up to three Wi-Fi channels and 10 different ID codes ensuring no interference between multiple installations in close proximity. In normal environments it has a wireless range of up to forty metres, which can be extended to provide infinite placement possibilities. The six different, adjustable volume zones ensure that the right impact is achieved in the right areas at the right time.
