PL+S: Artistic Licence debuts sunDial dimmer
- Details
Also on show will be the award-winning DMX controller, matisse, along with the latest splitters, gateways and media server, dVnet.
Artistic Licence CEO and product designer, Wayne Howell, will be present throughout the show to answer questions.
sunDial quad offers a professional solution, with four user-selectable dimming curves providing optimum results for a broad range of fixtures. sunDial quad has been designed to be extremely resilient, with intelligent features that reduce ongoing maintenance needs.
The standard product, sunDial quad dmx 1k, is controlled via DMX512/RDM. Also available is a product variant, sunDial quad xgc 1k, which incorporates Xicato GalaXi technology. This allows wireless control, which is particularly suitable for heritage buildings and retrofit applications where the installation of new data cabling would be problematic. The xgc product merges radio and DMX data on an HTP basis. Both product variants share the same rich feature set.
Winner of a 2018 PLASA Award for Innovation, the matisse dmx dimmer will be actively demonstrated at the show. matisse is a programmable, multi-function DMX controller presented in a wall-mount format. All the electronics are mounted on the rear of the panel, so there is no need for external control boxes.
The latest Art-Net gateway, netLynx quad, converts up to four universes of DMX/RDM data and supports premium features such as failsafe mode and electrically protected self-healing outputs. The product is housed in a strong but lightweight black ABS plastic case, with flanges for easy wall or surface mounting.
The Rail-Split range of DMX512 splitters has grown with the launch of Rail-Split RJ45. Developed in response to customer demand, this four-way DMX512 splitter features RJ45 connectors on the input and all outputs, making it a breeze to install in modern installations using Cat5 patch cables. The product also eliminates the need for separate DC power supplies, as it is mains powered and supports any international voltage.
