High quality processing is at the heart of the new range
Germany - In the 40 years since Yamaha produced its first professional power amplifier, the P2200, Yamaha power amplifiers have become a byword for sound quality, power output and reliability. Prolight+Sound and MusikMesse 2016 see the launch of the new PX Series, which continues this tradition of excellence by combining the latest developments in Yamaha's renowned DSP technology with unparalleled professional audio expertise to produce a light, durable design, capable of delivering maximum output power while simultaneously protecting the speakers with optimised processing.

As well as being the latest development in Yamaha's long tradition of technical excellence and reliability, a feature of the PX Series is the cost-effectiveness which made the original P (and subsequent P-S) series amplifiers a favoured option in regional theatres, community venues, retail premises and many other installations throughout the world.

Designed for a wide range of live and installed applications, the PX Series comprises four models, each providing "exceptional performance and advanced processing", with power outputs ranging from 300W (PX3) to 1000W (PX10) into eight ohms.

PX amplifiers are driven by a newly developed Class-D amplifier engine that concentrates all the necessary functions into a single custom LSI chip. Yamaha's new and unique PLL technology controls transfer characteristics in real time, achieving exceptional sound quality and power.

High quality processing is at the heart of the new range, with flexible onboard parametric EQ, crossover, filters, delay and limiter functions as standard. All models feature Yamaha's intelligent D-CONTOUR multi-band dynamic processing, allowing users to achieve consistent clarity and high-quality sound at any output level.
