UK - PLASA Events confirms that PLASA 2010 is now over 75% sold - almost five months ahead of the show at Earls Court from 12-15 September. The latest figure coincides with the opening of its regional Northern show, PLASA Focus: Leeds 2010, taking place at the Royal Armouries today and tomorrow, which itself sold out last December and has over 2700 visitors registered to attend - some 20% increase on last year's show.

A key development for PLASA 2010 has been the enthusiastic return of major brands in both the pro audio and AV sectors, with a marked increase in the number of pro audio companies committing to stands.

One such company is Electro-Voice, exhibiting again after a one-year absence. Sean Maxwell, sales director at Shuttlesound, commented, "It's fantastic to be returning to the PLASA Show, a major international event where we see a huge number of our distributors, dealers and end users. With EV being such a high profile brand and the PLASA Show being widely respected as an important exhibition for both the UK and European markets, it is the ideal platform to launch exciting new EV products for both the UK and international markets. It's also highly encouraging for the market as a whole to see so many other major pro audio brands already committed."

Other companies such as Nexo, Adam Hall, Roland, Sennheiser and POLARaudio are building on the success of last year, some taking extra space in 2010. Andrew Richardson, general manager of Adam Hall, said, "Last year we had a steady stream of new and existing customers to our stand from across Europe, which started from show opening to near show closing. This has enabled us to further our client base and penetrate new markets. We're looking forward to another successful show."

In the AV sector a combination of returning brands and a major expansion of the AV seminar programme will make this another high energy aspect of PLASA 2010.

A leading international company returning to the show is Hong Kong based LED screen manufacturer Lighthouse Technologies. Anita Leung of Lighthouse said, "We have exhibited at PLASA in the past and found it to be an interesting show with a visitor profile that closely matches our target audience. It's a good platform for us to showcase our latest technologies and meet potential customers and we are delighted to be returning."

Meanwhile, PLASA Events is working in collaboration with InfoComm International to produce a dedicated stream of fixed install, integrated systems and AV sector-specific seminars for PLASA 2010.

PLASA Director of Events, Nicola Rowland, adds, "To be 75% sold out at this stage is fantastic news and underlines the strength of the show as an international showcase for new product launches. Our visitor pre-registration figure also reflects this and is well ahead of this point in 2009 - setting us up for a extremely busy and successful event this September."
