ITV's Daybreak studio in London uses Selador fixtures
UK - Anyone interested in what today's LED luminaires have to offer should make sure they see the STLD LED Shootout at PLASA 2011.

Among the luminaires being put through their paces will be ETC's new broadcast-specific Selador fixtures: Studio Line D40/D60 (an IP66 version of the D40 provides for ENG use), Studio HD, Studio Tungsten and Studio Daylight. Being debuted at PLASA, these bright, high colour rendering, energy efficient fixtures are earning praise for their ability to blend beautifully with conventional tungsten and HMI colour and light in today's greener hybrid lighting rigs.

ETC's Selador LEDs blend seven colours and the company is using the Shootout to also demonstrate Desire Lustr+ and Vivid. Its existing Selador Classic Lustr, used in studios for its broad spectrum whites and tinted colours, and Selador Vivid-R, optimised to produce high output colour, can be seen in the STLD's recreation of ITV's Daybreak studio, where 95% of the lighting comprises ETC's Selador fixtures.

You will be able to try all these luminaires, together with the newest Desire line LED fixtures also being launched at PLASA, in the hands-on area, where an ETC Congo desk, with its Colour Picker feature, will be one of the desks providing control of both the generic and the LED luminaires.

The Shootout takes place twice a day and will see fixtures from a number of manufacturers compared to traditional tungsten and HID lighting.
