"There have been many subjects of note this year," says Phil Massey. "Some, such as the sad passing of director of engineering Dave Hawker, who was such an integral part of our company and close personal friend to many of over the years, were not happy occasions. Others, such as the tremendous support our team provides our customers, give us cause to celebrate. That we are achieving our aim of being out in the field, week after week, supporting live music from the very top echelons, to a very local level, makes us extremely proud.
"The true passion of the Sennheiser UK team is typified by one week at the end of August, when we had one of our artist relations managers, Mark Saunders, and chief engineer Andy Lillywhite at the northern V Festival site, supporting the engineers there; business development manager Alan March, sound reinforcement specialist Dave Wooster and Andy again, working with jazz singer/songwriter Ola Onabule on a live, fully digital recording at the legendary Bull's Head in Barnes, south west London; and Alan March supporting Local and Live, a free four day music festival in Kent's Tunbridge Wells.
"We have had many record breaking years of sales and with the addition of Gerry Forde to the team, we're looking forward to many more. This, in turn, will help us to continue to invest our efforts in supporting every sector of the industry, from installed sound to the concert touring market, and at every level."
