Alba 18/36
UK - LDR's Fabiano Besio has announced that a new range of powerful 200W LED zoom profiles called Alba will be exhibited at the PLASA Show in London (Earls Court, 9-12 September 2012).

Designed in partnership with the company Macostar (the LDR distributor for Hong Kong and China), the Alba LED profile combines LDR's "optical quality with a powerful 200W LED chip and distinguishes for a great dimming curve and homogenous flat beam of light".

Alba, is available in three beam angle ranges - 8° to 22°, 18°-36° and 30°-55° and comes with either a 3200K or 5600K replaceable 200W white LED array. Smooth control across the full intensity range is provided through on-board 4096 step dimming processing with a choice of preset dimmer curves. The elegant Italian design of Alba fixtures makes them suitable for architectural applications in addition to theatre, TV and commercial events. In line with other LED fixtures, Alba offers low maintenance, a long life source, cool operation and reduced energy demands compared with conventional fixtures, says the company.

"LED technology and LDR customers are very demanding," comments Fabiano Besio, "and we have been inspired by our customers to develop a product that answer to specific market trends. After the success of the Canto followspot line, I'm aiming to set a new standard where LED and other lamp sources can co-exist on the same installation."

LDR is exhibiting its product line, including Alba, on stand E40 at the PLASA show in London.
