The first in an innovative new LED range from Philips Showline is the SL LEDSPOT 300: a compact, high output LED luminaire that offers great colour choice from its CMY colour mixing and fixed colour wheel, plus a range of dynamic effects from its rotating and fixed gobo wheels, three-facet prism, Iris and framing system. Other recent Showline additions include the SL BEAM 300fx and the SL HYDRUS 350 - an "astonishingly powerful" luminaire designed for the live event and TV market.
New from the Philips Selecon brand are the PL1 MKII LED range, plus the new PLprofile4 MKII - an updated product which now offers improved colour consistency across units and new power saving features. The Selecon RAMA LED Fresnel MKII is also featured, promising excellent light quality (scoring very highly on the Television Lighting Consistency Index (TLCI) with a score of 96 - close to the 100 of a tungsten source) - meaning that it performs equally well for the camera and for the eye - and offers a power-saving alternative to a conventional Fresnel. (Both the PLprofile4 MKII and RAMA LED Fresnel MKII have been entered for a PLASA Awards for Innovation: visit the Innovation Gallery on the Upper Level to see more!)
Meanwhile, on show from the iconic Philips Vari-Lite brand is the 2014 PLASA Award-winning VL4000 Spot, and there are live demos on stand of the VL4000 BeamWash.
Finally, visitors are encouraged to get to grips with Philips Strand Lighting's latest consoles - the 500ML and NEO Lighting Control Console. Described as "intuitive and feature-packed", these will be controlling the complete lighting system of the stand.
